Cleaning a green pool is much trickier than regular ones, plus it takes more time to clean which is a minimum of 4 to 5 days. For cleaning your green swimming pool, the first this that you must do is ‘remove large debris from the bottom’ and this should be done carefully to protect the filter from damage. After this check for ‘pH and alkalinity level’ and adjust the proper pH level by using alkalinity plus and pH and pH minus. After adjusting the pH level you should have to ‘Shock the pool Water’ by adding chlorine, this will kill all the bacteria and makes water clean.
You can’t add an excessive amount of chlorine to it therefore Chlorination should be done in a perfect and careful manner and at a perfect time (After the sun has gone down). Don’t pour chlorine in powder directly in the pool, firs make a mixture of chlorine and water and then pour that water into the pool. Dissolve a definite amount of chlorine powder in 5 to 6 gallons of water and ensure that granules of chlorine get dissolve completely.
After that add algaecide to kill all the green algae from the water, don’t disturb water for 5 to 6 hours. The next thing which you have to do here is, remove green water and other contaminated particles that made water green. For doing this you need to use a ‘sand filter’ to filter these particles, but it takes some time. For a faster result, we recommend you to use DE filters, for using DE filter in a proper way you need to add more DE to the skimmer and keep it running for the next 24 hours. It will give you a 50% faster result than a ‘sand filter’.
You must watch some tutorial videos on how to clean a green swimming pool, and how to apply these processes.
